A little about Santa Barbara de Nexe:
The village itself is extremely popular with welathy expats and celebrities, drawn here by the stunning views and charming local history. The village which is set on the site of a Bronze Age hill fort, has most essential facilities on the spot, such as newsagents, a market, a post office and a large supermarket, as well as a number of restaurants and bars if you ever fancy dining out, celebrating a special occasion or getting to know the local community. The centre is marked by a well known and picturesque 400 year old church with lovely Bell tower, which can be seen from miles away. Because of this charm, properties in this area benefit from high seasonal occupancy with potentilly sizable returns. Independant Villas in particular do very well during the summer months, often with bookings for a minimum 40% of the year. This combined with a very wealthy expat community willing to long term let, means property prices tend to fetch a premium.
Currently under construction, with works set to be completed at the end of 2022.
